 <note>ABSTRACT&#13;
In typhoid fever patients need to be admitted to the hospital for isolation, observation and&#13;
treatment and the patient should have an absolute bed rest for at least 7 days free of fever or&#13;
more for 14 days. Positive support from the family can help the healing and treatment of&#13;
typhoid fever because someone with high support will be more enthusiastic than those who do&#13;
not have support. The family has an important role in caring for family members because the&#13;
family of the people closest and often together with patients with support It has. In the first&#13;
week in typhoid fever patients the body temperature gradually increases every day, which&#13;
usually decreases in the morning then increases in the afternoon. This study aims to identify the&#13;
relationship between family support and body temperature with length of treatment day in&#13;
patients with thypoid fever Sakti Ward DKT Hospital in Bengkulu City, Bengkulu, Indonesia. A&#13;
Cross Sectional design was used. A total of 39 typhoid patients were recruited. accidental&#13;
sampling were employed for sampling selection, conducted in Sakti Ward, DKT Hospital&#13;
Bengkulu city using structured interview question. Chi square (2) was used for analyzing data.&#13;
There is a significant relationship between family support and body temperature with length of&#13;
treatment day. In-conclusion family support is one of the factors to be considered in treating&#13;
patients with typhoid.&#13;
